Healthcare Emergency Preparedness & COOP: Workforce Operational Readiness
Build practical capability to connect emergency planning, COOP/continuity, communications, resources, exercises, after-action evaluation, and corrective action into one hospital readiness system.
Training designed to carry into the workplace.
When normal hospital operations are disrupted, emergency management and continuity have to work as one operational system. This course teaches how activation, accountability, communications, resources, alternate work arrangements, degraded operations, recovery, and improvement fit together so personnel can keep essential functions moving when conditions change.
Learners move from planning concepts into practical operational decisions, including recognizing activation cues, establishing accountability, supporting continuity actions, communicating during disruptions, verifying capability, participating in exercises, and using after-action findings and corrective actions to strengthen readiness.
Healthcare personnel assigned to emergency preparedness, continuity, departmental response, leadership, operations, or support roles who need a practical Level 1 understanding of what to do when normal operations are disrupted.
