User-level electrical-safety awareness for hospital staff who operate portable and cord-and-plug equipment but are not qualified electrical workers.
Electrical problems in hospitals often begin with ordinary warning signs rather than dramatic failures. A damaged cord, missing grounding pin, wet connection, overloaded power strip, tripped breaker, unusual heat, odor, or equipment that suddenly behaves differently can all signal that something has changed. This course explains what those warning signs mean and why the hospital environment can raise the consequences of a small electrical problem.
Realistic hospital situations build practical decision-making skills: what to notice, what immediate actions are appropriate, when equipment should be removed from use, and how to give Facilities, Biomedical Engineering, Safety, or another technical team a clear factual handoff. The course focuses on recognition and safe response rather than electrical repair, troubleshooting, or energized work.
Hospital employees who use portable, cord-and-plug, or electrically powered equipment but are not qualified electrical workers. It is awareness and decision-making training, not trade qualification.
